Overview

This guide explains how to synchronize product reviews between SiteVibes and BigCommerce. The primary goal of this feature is to enable BigCommerce to utilize its native sort and search functionality with review metadata provided by SiteVibes. This synchronization allows your BigCommerce store to leverage powerful filtering and sorting options based on review data while maintaining consistent product reviews across platforms.

Prerequisites

  • An active SiteVibes account

  • A connected BigCommerce store

  • Admin access to SiteVibes

Synchronization Process

Follow these five simple steps to sync product reviews:

Step 1: Access Settings

  1. Log into your SiteVibes dashboard

  2. Click on Settings in the left navigation menu

Step 2: Navigate to Integrations

  1. In the Settings menu, scroll down and click on Integrations

  2. This will open the integrations management page

Step 3: Select BigCommerce

  1. In the Active Integrations section, locate and click on the BigCommerce tile

  2. This will open the BigCommerce integration settings

Step 4: Run the Sync Job

  1. Scroll down to find the Product Reviews section

  2. Ensure the "Enable copy product reviews from SiteVibes to BigCommerce" toggle is activated if you want reviews to flow from SiteVibes to BigCommerce

  3. Click on the Run Product Reviews Sync Job button

Step 5: Confirm the Operation

  1. A confirmation dialog will appear indicating "Data Sync Job Started Successfully"

  2. Click OK to complete the process

Additional Notes

  • Sync Frequency: While you can manually run the sync job as described above, reviews are also synchronized automatically every night

  • Sync Direction: The default setting syncs reviews from BigCommerce to SiteVibes

  • Review Moderation: Only approved/published reviews will be pushed to BigCommerce. If a review is rejected in SiteVibes, it will be automatically removed from BigCommerce during the next sync

  • Review Metadata: All review data including ratings, text, author information will be preserved during synchronization

  • BigCommerce Native Features: Once synchronized, BigCommerce can use the review metadata for:

    • Sorting products by average rating

    • Filtering products by minimum rating threshold

Troubleshooting

If your product reviews are not syncing properly:

  1. Check Integration Status: Ensure your BigCommerce integration is active and properly configured

  2. Contact Support: If issues persist, contact SiteVibes support with your Support PIN (found at the bottom of the Settings sidebar)
